Right now it’s Khawaja (just) then Head then Labushagne.

Marnus has started to taper a bit, which I think we all thought he would tbf. He strikes me as a 45-50 average guy, which is fine, but he’s over achieved to date imo. But if he plays 80-100 tests averaging 45 plus he’ll be a perfectly fine number three.

Usman, easy. Opening is the hardest gig in test cricket and usman has made huge, match defining scores in India, England, Aus, Sl, Pak, pretty much every place we've toured. Still think head has been more important on green tops, but on dustbowls and flatter decks usman has been next level. Ide even put him ahead of Smith on importance right now.
