Brendon Donkers will be going as bowling coach and James Foster will also be assisting. Foster has been an assistant coach at Kolkata Knight Riders. I didn't realise he also was an assistant for the Black Caps when the toured England briefly last year then for T20 WC.

Interesting the release says this "Tom Bruce was considered for selection but made himself unavailable for family reasons and to continue with his current contract with Lancashire."
But doesn't say the same about Nathan Smith currently playing County cricket, who would be vying with Foulkes for that bowling all-rounder slot.

He's gunning for Southee's spot. They don't want to risk the potential of Smith gunning it and having to answer questions about why Southee is still playing tests ahead of him. :ph34r:

Incidentally, I saw Smith had a quiet but profitable start to his CC campaign, picking up 3/49 in a relatively high scoring match.

But yeah, isn't Smith a better option? Man, that guy is going to end up the Duane Monkley of cricket.

And interesting that Finn Allen has a back injury, certainly didn't seem to exist in playing four rounds of golf this week and swinging off his arse in QT and Te Arai.

He's probably viewed as being after Foulkes on the T20 depth chart, so him not being mentioned or called up is no surprise to me.
On the other hand, Bruce is in "Callup Territory", so him not being called up does require explanation.
