No he has always rated Hutton really up there.

Which is what we say effectively, he can't be rated or selected even though he likely was an ATG.

Not a terrible list. I rank Steve Waugh a bit lower than others here but 31 is criminally low. There's no way Kohli/Graeme Smith/Chanderpaul should be ranked above him.

Grace at 16 is just stupid, So is Cook/Graeme Smith over Waugh. And don't get how Graeme Pollock, Trumper and Ranji can be that low.

An average list, some of the rankings look very random. Personally think he could do a bit better.

I think he rates Grace very highly, just like us. In this video, he discussed Grace and the reasons he gave him that ranking on his list. When he was making this list, I believe he had given players' test careers more weight than their FC careers. Watch this video from 54.44 to 55.40.

At least they played 16-20, and the fact that there simply were less tests in the older age.
