Yeah but only Williamson will have carried his team to one almost singlehandedly.

Lockie Ferguson would like a word with you.
Well no one's ever won a game of cricket singlehandedly if you take it literally. The bowlers and Taylor have been vital but KW's contribution has been the most significant, more so than Smith and VK.

Root’s done remarkably well tbf, but yes I agree.

Smith played a big part in the comeback against WI, but that’s about it. Very meh WC for him by his standards.

Kohli was good, no more no less.

Hmmmm I reckon you're underselling Smith's 2015 campaign. It's true he was #2 in that regard but he was brilliant overall.

Heard Nasser Hussain on the Sky Sports podcast the other day refer to Steve Smith (I think?) as one of the best 3 bats in the world. Wonder who he was missing out...

Herculean effort by Williamson if we win it ... even his captaincy went to the next level in the semi. Reckon he'd have to go down as our greatest ever cricketer if we do manage it. Sorry Paddles.

By the time this guy’s career is over, he could have 40 test tons, 10000 runs. Not to mention what his ODI record may look like and the fact he’s got at least 2 more World Cups in him.

Hadlee is an absolute legend. But we’re watching something very special unfold here.

If Kane gets a World Cup as well. Wellllllll... there’ll definitely be a conversation in 8 years or so.

Overtaking Hadlee's accomplishments is very unlikely. A Test series win in India/Australia/England with Williamson starring, on top of this World Cup would give him a chance though.
