Come on. It's a rubbish pun suggested by the previous posts in the thread.

However if anyone was genuinely offended by it I apologise unreservedly. Not my intention at all.
apology accepted, but it's the sort of joke that a lesser sure me would go "okaaaay being queer is seen as a bit bad on here".

now we go way back and i know you didn't mean it that way but. just so you know.

I like the calling out on the casual gay is less than best tone (even if not intended) and the apologies. Nice work gentlemen.

Let's just stick to calling Vaughan a muppet, although then we need to apologise to Jim Henson

I know Vaughan is playing the clown etc but you'd think an England captain would have more to offer. Batsmen come to England (or NZ wherever) and struggle, and the party line is 'their technique isn't good enough for the moving ball, flat track bullies' etc. But if it moves sideways off the deck (and potentially upwards/downwards) on the sub-continent, it's completely different.

I really hope it's not going to be a thing in foreign conditions that creates the mindset of 'oh well, doesn't suit my game, I'd rather heave ho for 20 off 10 than sweat out 40 off 120 for my team'.
