There are 11 pairs with 500+ wickets between them, each taking at least 100:
1001 in 104 : SK Warne (513) & GD McGrath (488)
997 in 132 : JM Anderson (522) & SCJ Broad (475)
895 in 95 : M Muralitharan (586) & WPUJC Vaas (309)
762 in 95 : CEL Ambrose (389) & CA Walsh (373)
580 in 73 : MA Starc (295) & NM Lyon (285)
559 in 61 : Wasim Akram (282) & Waqar Younis (277)
547 in 93 : SM Pollock (377) & JH Kallis (170)
541 in 65 : TA Boult (277) & TG Southee (264)
538 in 93 : M Ntini (350) & JH Kallis (188)
522 in 62 : DW Steyn (305) & M Morkel (217)
501 in 54 : A Kumble (281) & Harbhajan Singh (220)

There's also 3 pairs with a bowler plus a batter who bowled a bit:
667 in 90 : M Muralitharan (584) & ST Jayasuriya (83)
600 in 122 : A Kumble (567) & SR Tendulkar (33)
517 in 103 : SK Warne (471) & ME Waugh (46)

And 4 pairs that were basically a solo effort:
641 in 96 : M Muralitharan (636) & DPMD Jayawardene (5)
528 in 77 : M Muralitharan (528) & KC Sangakkara (0)
524 in 130 : JM Anderson (524) & AN Cook (1)
503 in 107 : A Kumble (502) & R Dravid (1)
Would anderson and cook not be 525 then?

Good luck scouring ball by ball data for that!
Cricinfo has more or less complete ball-by-ball coverage for recent tests, and Charles Davis has a good amount for older ones. I'm sure someone who knows what they're doing could produce something.

Well the Thunder's hard-won record for the lowest total in all of T20 didn't last long, thanks the the Isle of Man's scoring 10 against Spain. The target was reached in two balls.

As one of Manx descent (somewhere back) I am truly proud of this.

I was going to suggest that Burrows’ figures of 0.2-0-13-0 would be hard to break for ‘worst economy rate’, but they don’t even break the old record of 0.2-0-17-0.

Couple of things I didn’t know. England went on to win the next 8 Ashes series (82-90) after the original loss at home (thanks to Spofforth’s 14/90) - later equalled by Australia (89-03) England also won 9 consecutive test series from 84-92. Australia equalled this (05-08) - however that does include the ICC World XI test, followed by India (15-18).

only you would write an ambiguous "82–90" assuming people naturally assume you refer to the 19th century

Well if you someone thinks England weren’t playing Spofforth and winning 8 Ashes in the 1980’s that on them not me :)

Bangladesh beat Afghanistan by 546 runs, the third largest ever runs victory and the largest since 1934. Beat their old record by 320 runs.
Mightily impressive with their two best ever test players injured, no matter the opposition.

Was wondering how close the 1980s West Indies got to that: according to Statsguru their series results (from June 1980 to 1995) were WWWDWWWWWWWDDDDWWWWDWDwWWdWDW (the lower-case "series" were one-off Tests; the final W was a 2-Test series, the rest were 3+). Which is 21 wins in a run of 29 series without defeat, including a run of 7 wins.

Australia's run from October 1999 was: wWWWWLWDWWWWWWWDWWWWWWLwWWWWWWWW (28 wins, 2 draws, 2 losses, though it did include the two one-offs as shown and six 2-Test series).

The scorecard is quite something. The 29 extras were Chile's top scorer. Specifically, the 26 wides were Chile's second highest scorer, narrowly beaten by Miranda's 27. The other ten Chile players mustered a grand total of 7 runs between them.
