The Pacer checklist and Shaheen Shah

So just realised Shaheen ticks about every box for the complete pacer, but i was wondering of examples of other bowlers who ticked all these as well? Would be interesting to discuss

The checklist

  • Height at 6'5 or over ✅
  • Average Pace over 140kph ✅
  • Top Speed over 150kph ✅
  • Good Leg muscles ✅
  • Long arms for higher release point ✅
  • Ability to swing both ways ✅
  • Accuracy/Yorkers ✅
  • New Ball effective ✅
  • Workhorse ✅ (for reference)
  • Death bowler ✅
  • Shows signs of both aggressive and disciplined natures ✅
  • Able to perform in any format he plays ✅
  • Is not a condition or home/away merchant ✅
Bonus (not required)

  • Left handed variation ✅
Shaheeen is ticking every box and im acc now interested how everything will fold for him over the course of years (i still think its too early to judge him tbh) Obviously everything lies on PCB management skills which i feel theyre overburdening him in all 3 formats and could possibly poise injury. He's a good kid too so i dont see him doing anything stupid like Asif/Amir/Butt


I was wondering if there are more bowlers who hit the Checklist? Or are we seeing a first?

I know you mean ill towards Pak cricket :p.

Seriously, that guy sucks big time. He's just another Sami, except that Sami at the beginning of his career had more potential.

Nah.. Naseem has got more to him than just his pace. But the injuries are worrying. Let the kid play enough before you judge though, smiley, come on.
