why would we host that rabble you sent last summer for any longer? india haven't won more than a solitary test here since at least the early 90s. get in line minnow.
Think India won the test series in 09. But yeah India's worst away touring performances probably occur in NZ.

I'd love to see more matches be given to NZ tbh. They have some great players and they're great to watch.

I think nobody but NZ decides the schedule. They choose 5 T20s instead of an extra test or two.

It's leaves me in splits reading these nz fans, tails up, about their home record against India. In the last three test series, they lost one and won two. In the last decade, they have hosted India twice for 2 test series. A total of 4 tests out of which they won three and drew one. An good record but the way they go on and on and on about it you'd think they've a record running for decades.

sunshine we do have a home record against india running for decades. i present to you the scorecard of the solitary test india has won on nz soil in at least 25 years, a series featuring pitches flatter than the subcontinental sense of humour. was it james franklin who kept you up at night? daniel flynn?

a very similar nz side almost stole a series in india in 2010, which tbh is hilarious.

we all know how lords is going to go champ. it was foreshadowed in the 2019 wc semi final, and underlined last february. india will talk themselves up as the greatest side ever to exist because they're australia killing specialists and then the english stupid cheat ball will move in the air despite lords resembling napier. much like 2002, india will declare this unfair and whine for decades.

virat kohli c southee b jamieson 2 (13) in the first innings then virat kohli lbw southee 7 (21) second dig. lock it in mate.

haha yea it would be juicy though i wouldn't fancy us in india. dumping on big 3 hypocrisy and assorted blow ins excepted, i really enjoy nz v india tests. the pair always manage to make it eventful *cries in harbhajan ptsd*

Don't jinx your Team, mate.
You are playing in the hands of Indians. They are masters at jinxing, reverse-jinxing & gambhiring. Just read Gabba Test's thread. They were saying: "7 players are injured. Brace yourself for drubbing at the Gabba." "Lyon has found his Line & Length. He will run through us in 4th innings" "Haze is going to take 5-8. He is so so good" "Pujara is batting us out of the win." & so on.

So, just say "I am seeing Hat-trick of defeats in Finals. Kohli is so so good. Even Bradman is nothing in front of him. He is going to murder our attack all along the park at Lords. India's batting unit is the best in the world atm & their pacers are very potent. There is no chance their fielders will give Nicholls a lot of chances to score 1st ever double hundred in Finals. Even our World Cup streak against India is at serious threat ?"

TBF, I think NZ team have figured this to an extent. They are so pally pally with Virat that the ****er even smiles when playing against them and gets out for nothing. Hopefully if it indeed ends up being Ind Vs NZ in the WTC finals, we see Jamieson throw the ball at Virat when there is no chance of a run out or something. Might actually get him to make a decent score against them.

Will be fun if Aus manages to sneak in with Starc metamorphising into a monster vs SA, and pushes out NZ on the runs per wicket measure.

Is that the best case you can make about convenient 2 test series - a subjective call that opponents got the best of conditions? lol
No one wants longer test series than NZ cricket fans. I can't even remember the last time we played a test series longer than 3 tests. It simply doesn't happen. No one wants to play us. There's no money in it.

We lost the toss and were put in to bat on pretty green tracks in both Tests in our last tour of NZ. In general yeah, NZ are strong enough at home that toss doesn't seem to make much of a difference.
You're right. I was thinking of the previous tour with the Baz 300 and lack of DRS. Fun times

Sri Lanka and South Africa, two teams with similar cricket economy as NZ, consistently host India for 3 tests. Windies, a smaller board in terms of finance, hosted us for 4 tests as recently as 2016, and 5 tests in 2002.

So what exactly makes NZ so unwatchable? Spare us the lament about poor NZ not getting her due.

Wait, how is a two test series an advantage, I thought the points scheme means there's more riding on the outcome of each test.

If BCCI ask nicely enough, I think NZC will give us 3 tests. We just have to play couple of more T20Is to compensate.

7 T20Is, 3 ODIs, 3 Tests. The perfect tour. :p

While 2 Test series means it's easier to clean sweep, it also carries plenty of risk. Drop one Test and you're ****ed.

I'd feel a bit cheap about NZ advancing ahead of Australia in particular after last year's drubbing.
No way. It's swings and roundabouts. Australia beat NZ, NZ beat India, India beat Australia. If Australia wanted to be ahead of NZ on the WTC then they shouldn't have lost to an under strength India at home.

Anyway, **** the big three, this is the age of the exceptional one.
