Right cool. So the FC in brackets basically just means 4-day games then, that's what threw me a little. Cheers/

Sorry to those who missed out but we picked the strongest side to take the field to make an impression in our first game this being the strongest side currently does not mean it will be the strongest side in 2 games down the track example we are playing 2 spinners today to suit the conditions but it's about working hard and showing us through the performances that you should be there. Rookies take heart from your fellow rookies performances your only going to mature :).

Good luck guys!

Green versus Chittagong
Played in Chittagong

Falter, stutter and collapse; three words to describe a 44.4 over first innings where many a chance could have been taken, but the main accumulator Rodgie showed his wares with a mix of lovely strokeplay and sheer brute force in the face of a fire, making 75 off 69 deliveries after more established members Garven and Malone came and went after both getting some sort of start. Sunny and Aziz were the main destroyers with Sunny virtually ripping through Green's long order, the 21 year old becoming one of the number of spinner's to use the dusty pitch to suit their needs. Sunny dismissed Halsey, Forner and Rose with his subtle variations and Green were out in 44.4 overs. Green skipper AJ Garven showed his disappointment at the application shown by his batsmen.

Salahuddin and Iqbal showed their patience in a stand of 67 crucial runs, caused by Xavier Rose's tight and economical spell. Forner was brought in and out of the attack faster than the speed of light after 3 fairly average overs in the context of the game. This brought experienced spinner Halsey and emerging youngster Gundry into the attack it went 1-2-3-4 for Halsey as he single handedly ripped through the Chittagong order in a display that will make sure Pickup is kept on his toes, Gundry was economical in a tidy and very valuable spell. The game was still in the balance in the final ten before captain Garven delivered the goods with a courageous spell.
