Irony is Younis Khan is the most positive batsman in Pak's current test line-up by SR, no other batsman has a SR over 50 there. Just never cut it in ODIs or 20/20s.

In tests he always takes an hour to 40 minutes to get in and once in he plays at a good pace limited overs does not allow him sit in hence he gets out to a lot of soft dismissals early on.

Guys don't forget Asim Kamal and the new invention Asad Shafiq. To me Asim kamal deserves to be in the team as a replacement of Younas. This guy is so cool minded and have given so many great performances.

I don't know why Asim Kamal is never brought back. He seemed such a gun test batsman tbh.

The bowling looks good for the future. Wahab Riaz looks like an awesome prospect and with a bit of work with Wasim good be a real gun. Best new fast bowling talent in the world at the moment. Just love those late reverse swinging yorkers

I think this is a fantastic chance to throw in some untested players for the tour if some of the seniors opt out.I just hope we don't fall back on useless players like Faisal Iqbal and Yasir Hameed.Pick some youngsters from the Quaid-e-Azam trophy and give them a chance.

I hope Pakistan now build on this period of sanity hopefully they realise now that even after all the happenings over the past 2-3 years they are still not that far off the pack and with a little bit more consistency and professionalism they can once again challenge the top 3 if they handle their resources well.

Razzaq's replacement should be Hammad Azam (Hammad is a better batsman, Razzaq is a better bowler).

Poor indictment on Azam if true. Azam's U19 team-mate, Raza Hasan looked the business at the last U19 WC. Ideal replacement for Dartman.

dartman has 33 wickets in 6 tests so he's not going anywhere.Raza still has an average fc record so don;t think he's getting in the side soon.Rehman,Kaneria & Ajmal are still young enough so there is no urgent need to a fast track a young spinner if Akmal goes the productivity of our spinners will increase by atleast 100%.

Hammad already had knee troubles think he will be concentraing on just his batting more and more the guy i liked was Lal Kumar hope he gets a go.

I was thinking that Umar Akmal should bat at No. 4 for Pakistan, going forward. Uses his feet very well, can tear spinners apart and can also rotate the strike very well in the middle overs. Younis and Misbah take their time to get set and are not as good at Akmal at getting their innings off to a quick start. Against India, they sucked the momentum out of the innings and the RR was above 6 when Akmal came in IIRC. However, he needs to show the temperament to build long innings in order to cement himself in that role.
