Do teams make the following trades?

2010s SA exchange ABD for Chandra?

40s Invincibles exchange Miller for Shaun Pollock?

90s/2000s SA exchange Kirsten for Hayden?

I'll answer the West indies one and say yes, with the ceveat that either Sylvester Clarke or Wayne is there in place of Holding.

Do teams make the following trades?

70s/80s WI exchange Holding for Kallis? - Yes. They have replacements for Holding, and Kallis will be the fifth bowler, and they may even given a spinner a longer run.

2010s SA exchange ABD for Chandra? - No. ABD vs the cult figure in the team. While Chandra was better than any spinner SAF ever had, the non-cricketing factors surrounding ABD is too strong

40s Invincibles exchange Miller for Shaun Pollock? - Yes. Pollock bowls a lot more. If Miller did bowl the same amount probably they would not.

90s/2000s SA exchange Kirsten for Hayden? - Yes. SAF didn't have an attacking batsman in their ranks

2000s India exchange Sehwag for Chris Cairns? - No. Sehwag simply won the matches in SC by himself. Cairns wouldn't provide that same fire power to win home or away. One could argue Cairns was a better player, but the role Sehwag had was unique.

I'd not. SA gains nothing from that trade. Kirsten averaged 48 away compared to Hayden's 42. Hayden in SA pitches won't be pretty.
Hayden averages well in SC. That is where SAF batsmen struggle most. And he bashes Warne too.
