Quick question. How old does a player get before you can give up on them reaching their perceived potential?

Anyone know Iceman's effect on captaincy – positive, neutral, negative? I had considered it to be a trait without a downside, in that its stated downside is "experience is less effective" but that is counter-balanced by "suffers less from pressure". However, there are cases where experience and ability in pressure are different things, and captaincy is one of them. It still seems a bit of a stretch to think that Iceman decreases captaincy's effectiveness though...

I think it will have a big negative on captaincy... and I personally think that iceman trait has a huge downside. Experience is the single most important stat in the game from what I can work out, and anything that makes it less effective is bad. Its effectively a great stat for a young player with less than say 15xp... but think at 20xp it is detrimental.

Interesting – I wouldn't go that far but I think based on my experience with Kurt Murdoch it's definitely not-great to some extent.

Nice to see specialist pinch-hitter Mortimer get 129 (53) v. Winton CC.

My experience came from Burger… at the point he should have been great he was only good. And I do think his iceman trait had an effect on him.

Just going through the TMOs vs Ataraxia from this morning... such a strange game. Ataraxia innings, TMOs dropped 5 catches, no runouts. TMOs innings 3 unluckys, 2 run outs which included Davidson (late innings), no drops from Ataraxia. Apparently TMOs outrate Ataraxia in the fielding department by 8K...

TMOs managed to still chase the total off the back of a magnificent Davidson ton... and a big contribution from ad-Din. Even though the bowler rating of Ataraxia was far superior, weighing into an overall rating of 2K more.

Speaking of ad-Din I still cant believe I managed to steal him for 800 K (almost Bankrupting TMOs). He looked under developed and is a touch, but seem to have recovered him nicely. Hoping he will get to become a 43 bat (41 now). Been a fantastic addition to the TMOs overall.

And yesterday TNT spent all there monies (not quite but close) on a new wk bat. $1.4 M

I don't know if it was really worth it but I hope so.
