I think a lot of teams are waiting for the WTC final hubbub to die down? Here's NC men's, but only xi announced. There may be HPC/Rookie Contracts missing? Only one Northern Cape local, and 3 from the Union South-east of the Vaal...

NC was a union where several players "disappeared" - I'm unofficially marking J Landsberg, Mahlangu, Mohale, Qwabe, Tait and Xaba as retired / uncontracted until proven otherwise...

Impalas report signing a Matthew Hollard. Can't find much on such a person beyond plays for uj and has a brother Jordan?

Titans squad released.

New signings Marco Jansen , Duan Jansen, Lesego Senokwane & Junaid Dawood.

Interesting to see Simon Harmer back. Shukri spoken to him with India and Pakistan in mind?

Only promotion from within is Keagan Lion-Cachet. But surprised no Schalk Engelbrecht considering he is SA A and liked by the Proteas coach.

I left a message on Titans' Fb page and an hour latee they were posted. Is Shamsi then not playing domestic cricket?

It's why I mentioned what I did above. Shamsi and Nortje played for Titans and Warriors last season but aren't on the contract list. Assume nothing changes with them and they will play white-ball cricket for their Provinces when available.

Just Boland, NW Dragons & Warriors that need to release their squads for next season in Division One.

But while Rossouw and Harmer weren't contracted, they weren't selected. It seems to be an unofficial rule? Nortje too it has to be said, and he claims he was fit to play and not selected, but it's crazy to play a test seamer bowler who isn't playing regular 4 day cricket...

Left a message on dragons page too. We'll see if it works again. No point posting on Warriors page, there's just tumbleweeds, although they do update their instagram.

Brett, Engelbrecht, Phahlamohlaka, Selemela and Stolk were all HPC/Rookie contracts last season. Is it possible they were just omitted? I'm guessing elsewhere was calling Lion-Cachet that he went from no contract to full contract?

Northern Gauteng Men's. I'm sure they forgot about HPCs? 9/24 Locally produced. 4 of those 9 at Pretoria Boy's High. Then 3 NW players, 2 each Central Gauteng, WP, KZN Coastal and Boland. Their bowling seems paradoxically weak, as most of their best bowlers aren't going to be available much, and especially in 4-day Corbin Bosch, Dala and Galiem tend to be cannon fodder a lot of the time...

I don't think you're obliged to mention them. Just main contracts and rookies.

I imagine Janco Smit, Brett, Phalahmohlaka & Lesego Kokohlabana would be the front runners for their HP contracts now. Stolk should have found a Div 2 deal.

Next young batsman from Tuks after Lion-Cachet's promotion? I suppose Phalahmohlaka & Jorich van Schalkwyk as current SA U19s or David Teeger a former SA U19. Couple of other shouts are Mohammed Aslam & Hayden Bishop.

They had a few interesting players who finished school end of last year with Phalahmohlaka , van Schalkwyk & Stolk that I think we could hear more of down the line. All-rounders Divan De Villiers, Marcus Bakker and Charl.Prinsloo.

Northern Gauteng Ladies... 7/16 locally produced, with 2 each from Boitsepo and Prestige College, both in the Hammanskraal area. It's odd that in both men's and women's cricket, of all the areas around Pretoria has been the main source of township talent, rather than the larger Atteridgeville and Mamelodi, though maybe there is more competition with soccer? Two players each from Central Gauteng, FS and Border and 1 each from WP, Mpumalanga and KZN Coastal.

Also Laudium with lots of Asians hasn't produced enough yet. But you are right for the reasons for Mamelodi and Atteridgeville. Big soccer areas.

I think a big reason is Prestige. The school seems to be a big feeder for the Hubs teams. Although Alfred Mothoa is from Hammanskraal and probably came before Prestige was formed.
