Bracewell got the same last year. So its not new.A one month ban for cocaine, even if it's not performance enhancing, seems very very lenient.

Doug Bracewell got similar recently. I see @Stefan9 mentioned above too.A one month ban for cocaine, even if it's not performance enhancing, seems very very lenient.
The fact that he didn't ask for a b sample and his apology letter seems to me he realises the gravity of the mistake. Lets hope he can put it behind him.Doug Bracewell got similar recently. I see @Stefan9 mentioned above too.
Tbh I think he knows it was a big error and being judged like he will be now is also a bit of punishment to take.
If repeated offences happen then it deserves serious attention. Just personal opinion.
One of those is a Class A drug and illegal, the other isn't.I dunno. I can't think of one thing cocaine can do that alcohol can't, and yet alcohol would've resulted in no ban at all. Seems like a societal double-standard to me.
Both ruin loads of lives , alcohol the deadliest of all. Some studies have found it to be 3 times as deadly as coke or cigarettes. The only real difference is the legality. But legality doesn't seem to drive whether a substance remains on the list of banned substances. Weed is now legal in lots of different jurisdictions around the globe but still on the wada banned list. One of those is a Class A drug and illegal, the other isn't.
Overall I'm pretty happy with this. If Klaasen wants to move on he can.Following up on my worry regarding Klaassen. I don't think these words from shuk will convince someone who wants to prioritise league play.
The brevis era may be close.
Alcohol is legal and cocaine is illegal , plus takes a hell of a lot more alcohol than cocaine to overdose or get bad effects .I dunno. I can't think of one thing cocaine can do that alcohol can't, and yet alcohol would've resulted in no ban at all. Seems like a societal double-standard to me.
It's easier to be controlled on drinking then if is go be controlled moderation on cocaine plus people cut it up and mix it etc unless you an alcoholic of course then booze is the devil. Both ruin loads of lives , alcohol the deadliest of all. There has been plenty of research. Alcohol is responsible for more deaths per year then any other substance. It's easier to be controlled on drinking then if is go be controlled moderation on cocaine plus people cut it up and mix it etc unless you an alcoholic of course then booze is the devil.
Hate the fact that my brain went "erm actually, cartels have nothing to do with tax rates in economics" while reading this.....There has been plenty of research. Alcohol is responsible for more deaths per year then any other substance.
The reason why alcohol is deemed ok and other substances is mere economics. The alcohol industry pays large amounts in taxes to goverments and the other recreational industries are run by the cartels so no tax money. Same applies to cigarettes and a lot of opioids.
You can argue which is easier to get addicted to but there is no argument about which one kills more per year.
