He's probably not in the top 5 batters to play in the 80s, but think it's plausible to name him as a top 5 batter of the 80s.

Greenidge and Crowe were better than Gower.

Gower's output is a fairly similar level to Greenidge, Crowe and Lloyd. But he appears to have been demoted to a tier below them on here for some reason.
