Not an Ashwin fan, classy Cricketer, classless person but here are the numbers for both in SENA.

Ravichandran Ashwin

Bat:
26 matches, 51 innings, 883 runs @ 20.06, 2 fifties and no hundreds.
Bowl: 26 matches, 44 innings, 72 wickets @ 39.55, 84 strike rate, no fifers or tenfers.

Ravindra Jadeja

Bat:
27 matches, 47 innings, 1,394 runs @ 34.85, 10 fifties and 1 hundred.
Bowl: 27 matches, 45 innings, 59 wickets @ 42.11, 90 strike rate, 1 fifer and no tenfers.
Jaddu is more effective in SENA. At home conditions, Ashwin is like Marshall and Jadeja is like Imran Khan.

The pitches are dry because it's the hottest summer in England since forever. The English team specifically asked for faster, livelier and more moving wickets but they literally can't make it right now. By your theory, Edgbaston should've been a green mamba as Bumrah didn't play but was a road, and Bumrah was going to play at Lord's but it turned out to be the spiciest pitch in the series so far by miles.
Lords is just another road which india magically made into spicy pitch. Nothing wrong with pitch. India are nervey chasers which why they failed to chase not because of pitch

No lmao, Initial days had tons of seam and swing movement even though the pitch was slow, the closing days had seam movement, rough, dust, spin aid and most importantly, lots of uneven bounce. It was a good balanced pitch

Overall, I think on a spinny wicket, Ashwin is a better bowler and clearly so as he's maybe the best ever at getting something out of the pitch, maybe something to do with the action, he's a Murali esque monster on spinny wickets. Jadeja is more closer to great pacers on spinny wickets than he is to Ashwin.

overseas, I think on hard bouncy pitches Jadeja is a better bowler while Ashwin better on soft grassy pitches. Jadeja is unequivocally a much better batsman and fielder on every single wicket or condition imo

Don't think I agree with that. Ashwin gets a ton more bounce for his height, and just overall has more variations. Feel you are basing this on their Australia record, which I feel is just not fairly represented by stats and in true Aussie pitches Ashwin is just better (he is better overall as well there)

Agree, Ashwin is the better bowler basically everywhere.

Jadeja is better because he is more effective overseas than Ashwin as a cricketer.

Can any Ashwin fan post his stats with bat and bowl both in SENA? It is pretty poor with bat in SENA for sure.

Also, Ashwin’s away stats are highly inflated via WI and SL bashing. Jadeja did well against them too but it’s just that Ashwin was more dominant vs mediocre teams like WI and SL and at home as well.
because the only place cricket matters is SENA right?
