I tend to judge players on complete careers. Smith gets downgraded for THAT scandal.

I don't underrate McGrath. This is about impact on Australian cricket. I Warne have at the top as his charisma and performances inspired so many youngsters to try leg spin. While McGrath had the impact on field, he lacked the impact of someone like Lillee as a pace bowler.

Yeah even though McGrath is a better pacer, I regard Lillee as the greater pacer for that reason.

Though we can make an argument that McGrath was more essential for Aus 95 to 2007 dominance then Warne.

Understandable, but record is also to be taken into consideration.
Basically it's a thread ranking Aussie players as overall cricketers, don't think McGrath should be that low.
