The thing is though that Walsh and Ambrose also played with some other really quality pacers and mostly with a relatively poor batting lineup, compared to what McGrath, Steyn etc got. So one also needs to factor that in.
Considering this and for how long they did it, they have a good case to be higher imo

Yes, that's a good counter point.

Anyway, list by OP was very well matched for me to make a clear ranking. I could list different ranking depending on day.
