Players Who are Gonna Probably Retire AFter this World Cup

FBU

International Debutant
I think Moeen Ali and Chris Woakes have hinted at retiring from ODIs after the WC. Moeen to become a T20 specialist

This is probably the last world cup with all of Root, Smith, Williamson and Kohli. They'll all be in their mid to late 30s at the next world cup so at least one of them will probably go test only for the next few years.

While Shakib might play a bit longer, the other 3 big guns will most probably retire after the World cup. Tamim, Rahim and Mahmudullah. Dimuth Karunaratne and Mathews for SL. Boult and Southee for NZ. Warner for Australia. Rohit for India. Stokes for England. Barresi for Netherlands. Nabi for Afghanistan.

Mathews won’t be in the Sri Lanka team for the world cup anyway so he is semi retired until they randomly call him up for a series as part of the next overhaul

Mahmudullah similarly won’t play in the world cup unless the public pressure becomes overbearingly bad
