International Debutant
Can any of the SA nerds give some background on dian Forrester? 6fer and 128 on debut is pretty bloody solid.
He's a Free State lad , big hitting left hander who has mostly played club cricket , took a long time to make the pros due to study commitments..

Bowls medium pace bit like a Colin De Grandhomme ..

Cricketer Of The Year
Have quietly been a fan of how Pakistan are restructuring their domestic competitions tbh. They also seem to be prioritizing women's cricket which is good to see. I hope these last and are not a flavor of the month stuff like a lot of their decisions seem to be.
I just can’t believe the great Imran’s ideas didn’t work!

Whatever it takes!!!
I just can’t believe the great Imran’s ideas didn’t work!
To be fair, I think his ideas were, while understandable in intent, pretty half-baked. But those reforms, plus the new ones under the new management, together seem to have put Pak domestic cricket in good hands overall. Esp. in terms of it being a viable career option, which is the crucial part IMO.

I assume that cricket finishes in the Windies with the CPL (currently on) and that the 50 over and 1st class stuff has already finished.
We have our List A tournament from October 17th. 8 teams (Usual suspects plus the academy plus Combined Colleges and Campuses.). League format. All matches will be played in T & T.

Is there any disquiet in the other countries over all the matches being played in T&T or is it recognised as a logistical/financial necessity?

I get the impression there is a basic understanding that it is a financial necessity given where the game has gone, but it is having an impact. Jamaica, for example, has hardly seen any domestic cricket for ages, and they couldn't even be bothered to bid to host games in the T20 World Cup.

So it is a pragmatic solution for now, but it can't be a longterm one unless they truly start to spread it around the islands.
