Admittedly Blundell won't get a much cruisier introduction to test cricket than this, but this has been a really solid little effort from him.
It has. Very effective at punishing anything short and also hitting through the covers. Would be interested to see how he goes against someone bowling 140+ at the stumps - would the high backlift help or hinder.

Exceptionally annoyed at my flatmates atm, having specifically timed my arrival home to coincide with the start of the cricket two nights in a row they have been home watching **** on tv, when normally on Friday/Saturday nights they're out somewhere. Bollocks.

Good stuff from Blundell and Boult; had wondered if Blundell's new setup was just a quirk of the domestic camera position but it's not pleasant here either. Fully deserved his callup though and is making the most of it, good to see.

Yeah he's always been very quick on the pull shot and his setup now really aids that. Have seen him fishing away from the body on the back foot a bit on domestic videos.

I can't believe I ate the whole thing
Could Bundell be the solution to our middle/lower order problems? Maybe as a WK and Watling plays as a specialist at 5

i'd like to see some fast inswingers or yorkers at blundell. has ferguson or boult had a trundle at him this season?

This has been like watching Ross Taylor try and make his way to 300, and the possible two runs there was almost a Dipak Patel moment.

Well played Tom. Great stuff.

Thought we were declaring there...though it's immensely entertaining watching Boult bat.

Congrats Blundell. Well done that man (& selectors)

I'd love Wagner to get a ten-fer, but Henry and Santner really need to perform to justify their selections
