He just looks so well rounded. A mixture of well-timed shots and meaty blows. All around the wicket. Loves a little nudge to leg for his one option.I have now seen Qeshile in a few innings (none big scoring). He is very still at the crease and waits for the ball to come to him, which is great. But I feel he does not always pick the length well, and does not shift his body weight well to play the ball. I can see how his technique can work in the longer form of the game, but unconvinced in the shorter form. I would like to see a proper long innings from him, because maybe his movement and weight get better as he bats longer.
It's pretty apparent spin is what he has to work on. If he had Breetzke's quick feet v spin and the way he opens the off-side and uses the crease with the back-foot punch he would be close to finished article. He just looks so well rounded. Both Qeshile and Marais have really shown their potential and class today.Marco Marais coming off at franchise level for the first time. It is brutal.
Don't worry they will be lost to SA squad soon......Quality T20 knock from Marco Marais.
No matter what happens. The Warriors have found a bunch of new young players after the losses of Kolpaks. Just need consistency from them and more to come off together.
Unfortunately it will be.Amla gone for 32. Enough to get a wc spot?
Unsurprising given... well, South African cricket. It's pretty apparent spin is what he has to work on. If he had Breetzke's quick feet v spin and the way he opens the off-side and uses the crease with the back-foot punch he would be close to finished article.
Christ. That's properly dire.
