**Official** South Africa in England ODIs/T20s Tour 2025

Hope we've not stupidly rushed Baker in too quickly.
As @StephenZA says, the batters have let us down, he was on a hiding to nothing to an extent. I get what you mean, but with a T20 World Cup next year and an ODI World Cup the year after, I think we needed to see him at international level soon enough in a relatively low-stakes series (and if his confidence does take a hit here, he’s got a series against Ireland to get it back a bit))

Yeah, wouldn't look too deeply into this. Markram was teeing off know that the total was an easy target, probably would've been more circumspect with 300 on the board.

Archer the only England player to come our of this shitshow with reputation in tact. Smith running out Brook was what started the carnage, so his 50 largely worthless.

Emphatic win this , great start to the tour..

Proteas need to keep this ruthless energy going, the way Markram took Sonny Baker down it reminds me of when Phil Jaques took down Dale Steyn in an odi a while back .

Only time in the middle and confidence with runs gets batsman into the groove again. Not in between all this T20 cricket
He cant afford to let his rut go on for too long , Rubin Hermann is banging the door down with his runs for SA A , and then there is a certain Lhuan-Dre Pretorius also looking for a cap , nice problems for the coach to have.
