Hard to be interested in an end of Summer series in crappy weather that's being played for the money, but good lord, England are a crap fifty over side.

But yeah, I think he struggled with fitness and weight issues.
Fitness and injuries seem to be a recurring theme with all these left-armers we're mentioning. Is there something about that type of bowling? I can't think of anything that could be it, so maybe it's just a quirk resulting from a small sample size.

The heater!

Used to love watching domestic games when he got it right! Left-arm swing is a joy to watch with a slight along action.

But yeah, I think he struggled with fitness and weight issues.
Fitness issues. When he got it right he was a menace. He even got an IPL gig when it was in SA.

I kind of hope we lose 3-0 in embarrassing circumstances (which also throws World Cup qualification into question).

But it's too late, we've already sold The Hundred to India so it can't go away.

Is it me, or do none of these batsmen look remotely bothered?

It should also be noted that there's a bit in this pitch for the seamers, so why we only picked 3 is a ****ing joke too.

Does seem very odd. Has to be coincidental.

There was also Aubrey Martyn.

You have an Afrikaaner lad that plays in England whose keen on playing for the Poms , he's got a brilliant 50 over record you should have a look at him ..Leus Du Plooy
Wow !

Du Plooy
2000 List A runs @54 , how on Earth is England not picking him , well not really surprising because Sam Hain averages 57 in List A cricket and doesnt get a game.

England selectors are so lazy to pick new batting talents only guys good at golf ⛳

England just don't seem to care.
I never get this line. In a way I am glad I dont support teams like England or Australia they seem to treat sport differently. I see this line when these two teams arent doing well often. I want my team to at least try...
Plus its a kind of an insult to the opposition

Hard to rate List A averages in England now. The only time they play it is when the best players are not available.

Problem is that Du Plooy hasn't played a List A since 2022 now. Hain a couple of years although quite how he didn't get a bit more of an opportunity I don't know. Too many batters failed at the top of the order for them not to look more widely.
