What's the under/over on the time to Morris' back soreness being confirmed as a stress fracture recurrance?

I'm saying two weeks.

Might as well start taking odds on our fast bowlers' injuries and pick who's going to come back first in fc and international level. They give us enough material to frame a market. I'm punting on Jhye to come back before Morris.

Another one would be 'how many matches will Johnson play (in any format) before his next injury?'

Yes Spencer Johnson as well as Xavier Bartlett are worth a punt.

I read a post on CW and I forget who wrote it, but he said Australia's test wickets have turned green since Cummins became captain. The poster wondered if it was a coincidence. We all know how influential Cummins is in Australian cricket and I reckon the poster has made a very good point. The pitches have become as green as his politics, and though I'd like to see a reversion to true, bouncy pitches, I think it probably suits us at this time. It is unusual relying on 3 seamers in their mid 30s and the captain whose 32. The bowlers we'd normally rely on to replace them are always broken. If the green pitches are keeping our main 4 in the game longer then they have had that benefit at least.

I think it is a coincidence tbh, at least at first, because by the time he became captain - completely unplanned - those pitches would have been well and truly locked in. It was, what, a week before the Brisbane Test that the Paine news broke?

That's true but I wonder if it became part of the reason to keep producing them subsequently? We had the memory of Mitch Johnson basically retiring on the spot after bowling on roads. We wouldn't want to do anything that made someone like Starc, who has the option of being a white ball mercenary, or Haze breaking down, deciding test cricket is too hard and that they've done their bit.

I mean it may very well have been a team tactic with him advocating or supporting it as vice-captain but I do think the spiciness has gone up a notch since even after that when it was clear he was the full time captain for a while to come.
