**Official** South Africa in Australia T20s/ODIs Tour 2025

Maybe it just seemed to me our guys struggled to time the ball. Even the guys that got in.
I mean Markram started like a house on fire, Pretorius had no issue just timed it too well when he got out..

It took Rickleton a while to get going that put the rest of the team under a lot of pressure, Brevis has this nervous energy at the crease sometimes ..Stubbs also took far too long to get going ..

Whether we bat first or second , we aren't going to win many T20 matches when the first six of the match is hit by Rabada ..

Markram timed the first one sweetly but then even his next 2 Fours werent out the middle and then hit one on the up straight to cover.

Lhu was timing it but even he didn't get going at all.

Not one of our players really got going. That says something about the pitch and the quality of bowling for me.

Whilst I agree that we weren't good enough and we need to improve our PP batting. Its why we've gone to the new blood I don't think any of those batsman playing today are incapable of hitting 6s except maybe Muthusamy.

Tim David could possibly start a 'slog your way to franchise t20' academy and earn some good money.
My only concern is that if there is a pitch with even a little bit in it then I can’t see him doing that well but damn you can see his game is built around hitting big.

He’s quite poor against wristspin (and spin in general).

Highest T20I strike rate in the world though, just ahead of Sky.

Aussie all out attack game plan has worked so far, but I still think they could use at least 1 steadying batsman in the XI. They were pretty lucky to recover from 6/75. You could play Steve Smith as a floater that doesn't bat if you get off to a flyer and is listed at like no. 8, but if you lose 3 early wickets he comes in to keep one end ticking over while the other keeps on attacking. Like a reverse pinch hitter
