Sensational catch though. Hilariously Pakistan thing to do. Was a regulation catch for Shan but Haris ended up taking a freaky one.

Well that changes everything.

Godammit why is my stream so slow, still 4 balls away from the Latham wicket.

C'mon, lads. This is the customary 50-2. KW and Ross will build a solid partnership then there will be a bit of a shake, Watling will steady the ship and the tail will annoyingly wag to 500 odd.

So the take away is that we need to double our slip cordon right?

Also, great stuff from Faheem. Him and Naseem have bowled better than our strikers so far.

Afridi and Naseem looks like they need at least a couple more seasons of first class cricket under their belt before they're ready for test cricket

Not Terrible
Fine but it would still be more difficult batting last than batting third you would think.
Batting first is the worst (avg 30). Batting second the best (avg 38) Batting 3rd and 4th are 1 run difference.

Conditions here haven't broken up in a decade, just becomes a road after Day 1

Walked away for a bit and we lost two. Hoping they were good balls to get them both. They were batting so well.

Still a good job by the openers. Put in a reasonable foundation.

Ummm yes he did when we were really struggling to polish off the tail. Very important wickets IMO.

Is Mitchell a test bowler? Neither Santner nor Mitchell are test standard bowlers, but Santner is probably more useful to the team.
Just want to see some consistency in selection for the spinner or the no.7 role. Enough of this musical chairs. Santner I read was preferred over Ajaz last test match not because of short of match practice or fitness but they thought Santner is a better bet. In that case they need to stick to that selection and give him a reasonable run. The problem is they drop him and expect him to get better but he'll barely play first class so where's the chance to develop? At some point in time it felt like they were preferring Ajaz, Somerville ahead of Santner. Now Somerville is nowhere in the scene and Ajaz's confidence will be dented knowing he's not their ace spinner. Just want to see some consistency for the 5th seamer as well.

If you picked Matt Henry then stick with it. They had a chance to play Jamieson or Lockie in Aussie but they went with Henry which is fine. Just because someone doesn't go well one or two games you can't just get rid of them for couple of test matches and then go back to them. Give them a reasonable run and if they can't perform then for sure shut the door. They've done a good job with pace bowling department but we are in **** state with our spinners IMO purely due to inconsistency in selection.

Pakistan's fielding and catching an upgrade from West Indies? Are they catching everything that comes their way?
