Ajaz with his 11 wickets obviouslyBut history will always ask, who won the 3rd one
Ed with some of the best gambhiring you'd ever wish to see. This really is going to be our worst India tour ever.
Correct.Don't see anyway how it won't be 3-0 tbh. India's upgraded from the 2021 series massively.
India is a monster team at home and on paper they had the much better team , plenty of times they won at home without winning the toss , need to just take the defeats like men. NZ deserved to win there was no luck involved.Outside of playing well, NZ also lucked out with the tosses/first use of conditions, which proved to be quite decisive. Rohit, Kohli and Ashwin were all rightly axed, as all three were awful in their last season. What a difference getting rid of them has made. India just needs some luck with tosses/first use. Expecting a series win in NZ next year to make it even.
Why? India has only won 1 test in NZ since 1976Expecting a series win in NZ next year to make it even.
I don't think Ashwin was axed I think at 39 and with Washington Sundar emerging he felt the time was right to step aside.Outside of playing well, NZ also lucked out with the tosses/first use of conditions, which proved to be quite decisive. Nz won only one test from 69 to 24 in india but they whitewashed us. Not being overconfident but with some luck toss /conditions we can atlest win a matchWhy? India has only won 1 test in NZ since 1976
Defeat is a defeat. But there are reasons why you lose. India was no longer a monster side at home in 2024. Did you even see how close India England series was earlier that year? India were lucky to win the tosses in the 2nd and 3rd test after being down 1-0. (Toss does matter when you are no longer as good and the gap between the sides is small). They would have even lost to bazball at home, if not for magician Kuldeep and few tosses. Unfortunately kuldeep went out with hernia against NZ. Then Ashwin got smashed to all parts by Southee and Ravindra. Almost every single spinner that series completely outbowled Ashwin. While Rohit looked like he couldn't buy a run against medium pace. Massive decline from veterans was a key factor.India is a monster team at home and on paper they had the much better team , plenty of times they won at home without winning the toss , need to just take the defeats like men.
