*Official* New Zealand in Zimbabwe 2025 (Tests)

Not Terrible
Neil: "Listening to the TV commentary, they are trying to pick a score New Zealand will declare. They are suggesting New Zealand might declare with 10 overs to go today. I'm wondering why on earth they would do that when there are 3 full days left after this one. Fill your boots while the batting is good, bat all day today, a couple of sessions tomorrow, and look to bat Zimbabwe right out of the game."

From Cricinfo

Neil quite charitably still thinks that Zimbabwe would still be in the game in 50 overs time when NZ are 400 runs ahead

Weather is perfect for all remaining days,
Don't think it's enough to just beat Zimbabwe, if guys are in a position to score big let them , these opportunities don't come very often ..

Nothing wrong with declaring at end of day 3 , if Zimbabwe can survive 180 overs they deserve the draw.

Couldn't agree more and see any declaration as pointless. Commentators talking about it just means they're lacking anything of interest to say.

Good to see our batsmen filling their boots, even if one of them is Nicholls, no need to declare anytime soon with so much time left in the game.
