that's what people thought after Cronje gate
People were wrong back then, given. But it took a while for the cricketing world to suffer from it's next big betting scandal - almost 10 years.

Also, the tournament is being held in the subcontinent, the hub of fixing. The ICC would have taken measures to ensure that nothing fishy happens.More than ICC,the respective boards of India,Srilanka and Bangladesh would make sure that nothing fishy happens.

Cricket's showpiece event to be held in their country, and get tarnished by a fixing scandal? No chance in this tournament IMO.

This match has definitely not quite got boring enough yet to justify an entire page of discussion about fantasy drafts and match fixing IMO.

Is the Hambantota ground located inside a wildlife park or something? Wild bison, elephants etc. roaming nearby...

Interesting that both Younis Khan and Misbah-ul-Haq are scoring at a much faster rate than they usually do. Maybe Afridi's words prior to the match have something to do with it.

Afridi's words or not,I've always been happy to see Misbah and Younis play together. They definitley don't play as slow as it's made out to be.And plus, they build the foundation that enables the lower order to attack towards the end.It all fits well.

Classic ODI batting pre-1996.

That's Younis' first World Cup 50 in nine innings.

...and he's out. It obviously came as something of a shock.

 that was hilarious bowling.

He's obviously stiff as a board. Should've just let him bowl out his ten with the new pill.

20 extras already, including atleast 5 front foot no balls. Poor, poor stuff and still they've taken 4 wickets and could have had a couple more.
