I actually think Balbirnie is better equipped than Stirling for red ball cricket.

small sample size but Little averages above 50 with economy of over 4 in fc and didn't play in the Ireland a test against Bangladesh A so i doubt he will have been any good on Bangladeshi pitches. Stirling likewise hasn't played any fc match in years but that could be true of anyone missing that Ireland A test
