BD announced test team for only test vs Ireland

Shakib Al Hasan (Captain), Litton Das (Vice Captain), Tamim Iqbal, Shadman Islam, Najmul Hossain Shanto, Mominul Haque, Mushfiqur Rahim, Mehidy Hasan Miraz, Taijul Islam, Taskin Ahmed, Syed Khaled Ahmed, Ebadot Hossain Chowdhury, Shoriful Islam, Mahmudul Hasan Joy
Surely these dickheads have not dropped Zakir Hasan after a debut century?

I'm going to assume he's injured.

EDIT: He's fractured his finger. What a shame. Watching him bat was one of the more compelling reasons to watch this test.

Has Monimul rediscovered the magic touch?

pretty sure Colin Bland has him beat there. unless you’re being pedantic and saying that Rhodesia doesn’t count or that those weren’t tests

First cricketer to play Tests for another country after first playing them for Zimbabwe is a better way to put it. It's really not pedantic to say that Bland doesn't count for that.

yeah the wording was absolutely jumbled if that was supposed to be the meaning conveyed. Bland wouldn’t qualify for that

Zimbabwean cricketers simply played for South Africa in Bland's time, no? And Bland wasn't the only one by a long stretch – Traicos himself played for Rhodesia before RSA, and some others who were before Bland surely.

Great to have a test in the middle of IPL. Wishing that Ireland put up a good fight and may be even cause an upset. A Balbirnie-Tector partnership can help do that. But without Little, I can't see how the 20 wickets can come up.

Ireland likely to loose All 3 in Asian subcontinent because they are handicap vs spin oriented track both here & Galle (2) spinners so much impactful -condition wise.

Balbirnie-Tector-Moor is potentially a decent Test middle order. Very inexperienced in these sort of conditions so I'm not expecting heaps, but it's at least a high ceiling.
