Tuned in for my first ever IPL game tonight, mainly because Hazlewood, Maxwell, Behrendorff, Green and David were playing

Turned it off after commentators explained the impact player rule....it's just not cricket ?

We've had 2 sub 60 metre sixes this game anyway, it's not real cricket to begin with. I don't get why so many people are against the impact rule FYI, what's wrong with ensuring that more balls are faced by proper batsmen and more balls are bowled by genuine bowlers.

Maybe because "real cricket" is played with only XI players and why having a great all-rounder is so exciting?

I did enjoy Maxi though ? until the impact player rule came up

Green's got 2 in the shed and taken 1-15 so far, why not give him an over before the spinner?
It would also get him away from dropping sitters in the field too.

Jordan must be wondering why he's gone there (apart from the pay cheque), turns up to the flattest of flat pitches and watches his team mates field like ****s off his bowling.

My issue with the subs rule is that it's another thing in favour of batsmen. To even it up I'd allow a bowler up to 6 overs each. Instead of having a 6th bowler that you don't really need, why not let your best bowlers have more opportunity?

Or just scrap it.

Green's gone off the field. Hopefully he hasn't injured his fingers.

If green isn't injured i'm really not a fan of what MI have done here. Green's been fantastic at #3, don't get why their shuffling him around so much again. Made him open last game now he's at 5/6.
