fair. i don't have an ipl team though so it doesn't faze me. i just can't warm to chennai's team sheet. if the comp were to have a villain, i think i'd nominate them.

i suppose if i had to choose it would be between punjab (mates team and they're bad), sunrisers (kane, another mates team, they're bad), kolkata (ferguson, mccullum, constant underachievers) or mumbai (dat bowling attack is daylight robbery and i love it).

who would be the ipl version of the crusaders or the storm, someone to really despise?
Pretty sure it has usually been MI or RCB. CSK is actually the most supported team but I am sure you know how to pick 'em. :)

Chahal getting not selected for world 20 20 tournament might be a big error for india
Yeah. Little to choose skillwise between him and Chahar anyway; you'd think the more experienced guy would get the nod. Anyway, don't think much of India's chances, mostly on account of the lack of powerhitting and too many batsmen preoccupied with "playing themselves in" but getting out at an awkward stage anyway without really having made a dent in the scoreboard.

Has anyone got concerns about Ryan Parag cricket career these days he basically looks like a park slogger type cricketer that cant construct a batting innings

Interesting couple of games today.

Backing KKR to pull it off against DC. DC picking Lalit Yadav to replace Stoinis always felt a bit of an arrogant move to me. Axar and Lalit can bat 8 and 7 and not 7 and 6. Also, while GalaxyBrain Smith is at his best when he is not captaining and coming up with galaxybrain tactics, their batting is still gonna feel light if you can get past Hetmeyer. And their bowlers' best weapon is pace which can go the journey on this small ground, even off mistimed shots.

MI Vs PBKS is more intriguing. I would expect MI to bring in Neesham and Jayant for Krunal and Milne. But they will most likely play the same XI and ask Hardik to bowl more, or, they will get NCN in for Milne, which may not make much of a difference with anything. I expected last year's pitches to be slow like they are this year but it seems the last winter was cooler and fresher for the wickets than this one has been. Will be a fun two games to follow. Hoping Bishnoi and Arshdeep go well for PBKS. And Mayank, of course.

I missed it, but what sparked the beef between Ashwin and Morgan?
Southee and Morgan sledged him needlessly when he was dismissed. Must have been pretty bad for him to react the way he did too.

You would think opponents would have worked out not to sledge Indians needlessly by now. But Morgan had to end it comically, I guess. Will probably wait for Southee to make himself stupid again too. :p

DK is the key here. He can take KKR home.

How does one sledge a guy like Ashwin? Just dumb.

DK and Rana partnership will take this home for them. Narine is a walking wicket.

I like this move bringing on Rabada against the susceptable Narine.

oh ****, no-ball
Like I said, the pace on short balls in postage stamp grounds like Sharjah where the pitch is also slow is not the best idea. Mis-hits will travel and that is what happened. The Gill six of Ashwin, the edge off Rabada for Narine and then they are off. :)

Nortje's becoming my favorite fast bowler to watch. Might not be as skilled as some others going around but he looks like the nastiest of the lot.

Markram playing one of the best knocks in this leg of the IPL. I like when batsmen have to dig in and work hard for their runs. They have lost most of their top batters and Markram found a partner in Hooda...just a partnership was needed to rebuild the innings.

Yeah.. PBKS missed a trick not picking Rashid over that Aussie seamer. He is not bad but this pitch is not the one for him. Krunal continuing in the XI is gonna cost MI sooner than later. Not sure Tiwary is an answer to anything either. But Hardik back in form and Pollard going well with bat and ball is good news for them.
