Happy to see Unadkat do well, has been excellent in domestic cricket since forever and bowls difficult overs in the IPL. He has not been in the selectors radar because he hasn't had the best of IPLs. But his role as a bowler is as difficult as a number 7 batsman in the team who has to come out and start attacking the bowlers with no time to settle, very easy to get a string of bad performances if you always have to perform in such situations. Look forward to see Unadkat bowl more with the new ball/middle overs before bowling an odd over at the death.

Jarrod Kimber made a similar point that if you could just not bowl him at the death at all he could be very good for RR, it sounds like he has a good record in the first 10 overs of IPL innings and he pointed OUT had far more death bowling this year which in Morris and Mustafizur/Archer they definetly do. With maybe 1 over of Sakariya and 1 or 2 of spin you could leave Morris and Archer to bowl their final 3 overs inside the last 8 or 9 overs of the innings.

what up with ipl barely getting 50 k views per match on youtube this tournament lack of interest from fans
Presuming you are talking about live matches, nations where the IPL is big will have a dedicated broadcaster so not too surprising YouTube figures are not huge however I haven't watched it as much as usually for the first few games so perhaps there is an element of many being like me there.

Whatever it takes!!!
Still feel CSK needs one of Ngidi/Behrendorff/Tahir instead of Faf. Got enough batting and lets everyone bat at the right spot. Hopefully MSD moves down to 6 and lets Jaddu bat 5.

Yeah theyve got shardul at 10, batting isn't a problem. Don't think berendorf will help much though, they have chahar and Curran for new ball stuff. Need a middle over wickets taking threat.

I think he can bowl an over at the death, that won't be an issue, just like someone like Deepak Chahar who bowls 2-3 over at the start and an odd over at the death. But the idea of Unadkat being a death over specialist is wrong. People got that impression from his death bowling for Pune SuperGiants. Pune's home pitch was a slow and turning one where his slower balls were impossible to hit.

Perhaps, I guess it depends on the bowling balance - with Stokes out perhaps 1 over but at worst I'd say give him the 16th over but the numbers over the last 3 years show of those at the death in the IPL he has the worst economy and takes his wickets relatively expensive (at the death). But if Sakariya keeps playing and they see him as a death bowler there is no real need as you can get Morris, Archer/Mustafizur and Sakariya bowling 2 overs each of RR's last 6 overs. If Unadkat can do well this season bowling at the other phases of the game like v DC then you can ensure your death bowling is secure with 2 of the best few death bowling options in the competition in Morris and Archer having 2 overs each for the death. It also means you can really attack the early middle overs as well, if Unadkat bowls 4 overs straight from the start and can do that job well and if Sakariya is their other new ball bowler then you can be a lot more flexible in how you use Archer and Morris if they still have a combined 7 overs of bowling after the powerplay (Sakariya 2, Unadkat 3, Morris or Archer 1 over in PP).

If RR feel he's not a consistent enough threat you can use him for the middle overs or replace him with Gopal/Tyagi but certainly for the next game I'd set out to bowl him in 2nd, 4th, 6th and 8th overs and react depending on how he is bowling any specific matchups you want to exploit but you probably won't want to go spin anyway with Moeen at 3. If he can do well there it should help his confidence too whereas bowling 3 overs early on and then saving 1 for the death there is always the risk that 3-0-20-2 becomes 4-0-40-2 and he potentially loses RR the game. Morris and Archer/Mustafizur and Sakariya could get hit at the death too but at least you've given yourself the best chance bowling at the death going with your better options.

A shame for RR that this is the final year before mega auction as you could just see a bowling lineup coming together - Unadkat early innings specialist - get Stokes to be aggressive for a couple of overs (if needed) after the powerplay along with Archer and Morris, Sakariya bowling at the start and he along with Morris and Archer at the death. Tewatia with wristspin. Deep batting with Tewatia and Morris at 7/8. A couple of class batters with Samson, Buttler and Stokes too. Just need ideally one other batsman to step up and they've got a strong-looking side after a weakish side last season.
