*Official* India tour of Ireland and England 2022

Niall

International Coach
That was winnable for Ireland sadly, Adair missed out at the end of some juicy stuff.

India won't be to pleased, some poor death bowling unfortunately.

If Tector can keep this up then maybe an IPL gig could be his next year, very promising.

Waiting for the articles to ignore Ireland scoring 221 (against what might be close to our full choice attack bar Bumrah) and sing praises of Bhuvi and Umran for the 18th and 20th overs.

Bhuvi should not play in upcoming world 20 20 cup or it going to be same story a non wicket taking threat

Ireland did beat a near full strength England side in a ODI last year... They are more than a decent batting unit I think.
Indians lost the plot in final 4 overs in batting.

Yeah Harshal will not really add anything Chahar is a better pick he known to pick up wickets with new ball.

Tbf Harshal bowled a rubbish over before that. Ireland were on course to win. Umran kept his cool in final 3 balls. One was edged to a boundary. Literally gave only 11 run still.
Nahh, he bowled one good delivery (the second last one), the rest were all hittable, although one could argue that the extra pace helped - a 135 kph bowler bowling the same would have disappeared.

Length balls were throughout relatively tougher to deal with on that pitch. Anything short was getting dispatched.
Of course his extra pace helped here.
Umran is learning on the job & is extremely raw but seeing how other experience veterans were thrashed he did alright.
Harshal anyways won't be useful at all in Australia with his cutters. India better grooms Umran as an enforcer to do a Haris Rauf type job in WT20.
