Pitch doing a couple of weird things now.

This is one of those rare occasions where batting with a bit of #intent might actually not be a bad thing, because otherwise they could just get stuck for a while and then collapse in a heap suddenly.

Ricky Ponting on Channel 7 and several people on this thread
I think most of the people in this thread complaining about it are more complaining about the pitch making the game boring to watch than complaining about India's tactics. I've only counted two seriously question the latter, and one of them was slippy.

Pujara was just playing his natural game, it did look like Kohli was more cautious than usual though. Probably not his type of pitch and he just grinded out a score.

Kohli was somewhat lucky to score as many as he did in this innings. Looked unconvincing, throughout his stay at the crease.

Lyon hasn't bowled well in this test; the rest of this Australian attack finds that things are a lot easier when Lyon is on song.

If all things being neutral is the ideal, objectively fair state of contest between bat and ball, then is bowling inherently a lesser art because it withers and dies on roads like these?

Rahane's looked much better this series after that torrid run in England. Good signs.

Much better to be a batsman on an actual minefield tbf, all you have to do is make sure there are no mines right next to you
