***Official*** India in Australia

A poor performance from India, the MCG isn't their type of ground. Slow, low and long boundaries. We have seen that twice this summer. Expect better performances on other grounds.

I agree with pup, an International game should never be referred to as 'practice'. I was like wth when I heard that on Thursday. This attitude was emphasised in the game.

This is India's true colour. Nothing surprises me from now to see India getting alloutt in 80% of the ODI's they play in the CommonWealth Series

Also proving for the second time, is that India is not good at walking off a plane and into a cricket field. (this team only had 5 players who played the tests). And when it happens for the second time in 2 months, it is not an excuse.

Wondering why Pathan i) is not considered a true all rounder, having outbatted specialists with this regularity (opening batting and bowling in a 5 day match is not a good test).
ii) was not playing higher up in the order in situations where a key batsman like Yuvraj was absent. Is it just me or does he have less inclination to play loose shots than most Indian internationals besides Dravid, Tendulkar,Laxman etc.

If Pathan had come at 3 or 4, I think he'd have stabilised things somewhat and India would've gotten more on the board.

Noffke action is way different to 6 1/2 years ago when i saw in the 2001 Ashes. Much higher & has more pace. Kind of see why he has had success in of late seems a transformed player, hoping he is the real deal.

Funny thing was when D Karthik's asked about Harbhajan Singh going into bat with all the boos from the crowd, he said something like this is what gets the best out of you, and next ball Harbhajan Singh caught out   , couldn't stop laughing  , looked so funny hahaha.

Gotta love Gilly, the way he was talking to the commentary crew while facing up, and just playing on instinct, passion and adrenaline. WAG. Thought Bill was pretty funny too.

Giggled when I heard the result last night. I must ask, why do crowds cheer wickets when it means a very much truncated match, and therefore nowhere near full value for your money. I mean, why would you cheer when India are 7 for 40 and lose their eighth wicket? Surely you want value for your money.

Watching the highlights of the 20/20. What a game. Crowd were ace, Nicholas was dire, Harbhajan is a f00l, Bracken is my boyfriend, Dave Hussey was awesome, etc.

EDIT: Really rate Voges as a will-be International Cricketer.

Lawry: The Aussies have got their thumb and they're pushing them (India) into the MCG pitch!!

EDIT: That field for Voges hat-trick ball was hilarious. I so wish he had of taken a wicket then.

EDIT: Just heard the Dive, Dive, Dive! from Lawry. He has secured his place in the box 'til his death from this match alone.

Watched the highlights of the game a bit back. A mistake people make is going for shots and forgetting about the wickets in hand. As we have seen so many times in T20 over the years, losing a few wickets early can be dooms day for teams and they have to make sure that they have wickets in hand.

A far more crucial point - a fair few shots the Indians tried could have gone for runs on smaller grounds. They made the error of going for lofted strokes in six attempts. In Australia, because the grounds are bigger, you need a lot more singles, twos and threes as sixes and fours are not as easy to come. India are ill equipped in this department and I reckon that had the T20 world cup been held in Australia, India may not have won it.

As I said earlier, there is a very good chance that India will perform poorly in this tournament and may not even reach the final. I guess blind India bashers will have a field day.

Irrelevent to what I raised. On what you raise - not only will blind Indian fans have bad days, even the Indian fans who can appreciate good cricket from both sides will not like it if India does badly as it is not great watching your team lose.
