Looked a bit dodgy for a while, but Chelsea ended up thrashing Betis. Good to see Palmer back on song, the spark behind the comeback.

So no Spanish team lost a Final for about 20 years, and then 2 do so in the space of 5 days.

Ah! I was obviously restricted to men's football. Some achievement for Arsenal that.
The 3rd final last week that saw the team who dominated possession lose 1-0. Once Chelsea turned up for the second half last night, they were far superior to Betis. Also, nice to see that Antony remains a ****.

Chelsea are in a very interesting spot with their squad.

2-3 really smart signings away from being a proper threat in the league. I just don't think their board/recruitment team have it in them to make the right moves.

Seems they're in talks with Delap which I don't mind and should also get Petrovic back. Keen to see what else they do.

Age wise they are beautifully set up for the next few years. A decent keeper and a striker (Jackson kind of has all the attributes apart from a brain) would be the obvious two they need.

The squad is crying out for another Thiago Silva, someone like Rudiger would be perfect.

That trophy will be huge for their young squad but they still lack the experience to get through a league campaign. Only way they can fix it is by breaking their transfer policy, or waiting.

Yeah, can't see them winning the league, the squad lacks consistency. Hard to look beyond the usual 3 in that, although no idea who I'd plump for at this stage. Could see Chelsea going deep in Europe though.

Bring back Marcel Desailly! :naughty:

If Liverpool sign Wirtz, Kerkez and Frimpong I can't see the title going anywhere else.
I think we'll be getting a striker too. Bit soon to say who wins it, there's going to be a lot happening this window.

I'm excited to see Cherki in the PL. As much as I dislike City I hope they get him just to watch him more

Cool, still doesn't count in the same way you wouldn't count under 9s or the Spanish water polo team.
So the Women's World Cup and Champions League have no gravitas for you? I think it's worth including as it show the Spanish psyche for Finals runs through more than just their Men's Teams.
