*Official* England in India 2023/24 #CryMoreTour

Serieses or games? Australia came mighty close winning in India the last two times tbh
Series obviously. One of games count for nowt.

It's been frustrating this series. 3 years ago England were just outplayed, but here they've had their chances and not taken them. It's ironic that the one Test they won they were in a far worse position after Day 2 than 2 of those they lost.

Shame they can't just come home now. Waiting 10 days for a dead rubber seems a bit pointless.

Well then I agree with you on something for a change. 2014 RSA was probably the last great away series Australia won (Pakistan was alright). Englund at least managed to beat up South Africa 3-1 or something

The truth is in the last 20 years or so, Australia have underperformed in both England and India.

No series win in India since 2004.
No series win in England since 2001.

We've won series in both India and Australia during that period so we won't be taking any lessons from the Aussies about not winning this series in India thank you very much.

What the hell happened to Sundar?? He seemed like a player made for tests..
He's in the squads but been an underperformer in domestic cricket with ball and bat. Not shown much track-record so far to run through sides with the ball or go big with the bat.

3-0 in Pakistan was pretty good too on stupidly flat pitches. That was probably when Bazball peaked.

Yeah at the moment best case scenario for him is all rounder slot, but most certainly not someone you would want as a front line spinner atm.

He is young , but its going to be interesting to see who emerges to replace Ashwin/Jadeja over the next 18 months, monumentally big shoes to fill.

Tbh he performed well and showed lot of promise during limited international time. Then all of a sudden, selectors started completely ignoring him.

Was weird.

Anyway its time for England to move on from McCullum. He was a filthy slogger who couldn't play proper test cricket when he played and now as a coach could not comprehend how test cricket should be coached.
England: Go to India and perform better than last time despite brook and leach missing the whole series, and Root underperforming relative to last series. England where very close to being 2-2 heading into the last test FFS.

Should Australia drop mcdonald as coach? They've done about as well as we did at this point in our respective India series last year.

Very good. Sharp

ftr Joel Wilson cheated in 2019. England cheated with ball change in 2023.

As pointed out in another thread, neither had Jurel. I don’t want him in as a key bowler though, he seemed like a very handy bat though.
