Malaysia won the toss again and yet again we're fielding first

*facepalm*

We've lost 8 out of 9 tosses in 2 weeks.

C'mon boys. Nab a few early wickets while there is some moisture in the pitch

So Aizaz gets a wicket first over, catch taken by Kinchit in the covers. They then realise a 30 yard cricle wasn't marked before the start of the game lmao.

And now the Malaysia camp is arguing with the umpires and match ref to undo the dismissal because they believe Kinchit was standing outside of the 30 yard circle!

Groudnstaff currently marking it out. We're 5 balls into the first innings lol

**** YES

Brilliant stuff from the boys.

What a great game. It's only take 6 attempts, but we've beaten Malaysia when it matters. And we've finally won a ****ing run chase. And we're into the Asia Cup Qualifiers.

**** yes.

This deserves a change in avatar.

Man, when this team is good, they're so good. Winning an important run chase is huge for this team's confidence. Since 2016, when we chased successfully against Scotland, our only successful runchases in T20Is have been against Thailand and Nigeria. In the same time frame we've successfully defended scores against Ireland, Netherlands, Jersey, Canada and Nepal.

Onwards and upwards to better things from here. Young side, new coach, big performances when it mattered.

Also what a big difference Jamie Atkinson makes to this batting lineup. Wish we could clone him.

Shahid Wasif didn't have his most fluent innings, but definitely his most important. Coming up with your first ever T20I 50 when it matters is gun.

Haroon Arshad is such a clutch player too. Has a knack for pulling off big moments like this, and bowled well too. The whole bowling unit was pretty good this tournament in general. Aftab Hussain leading wicket-taker. Glad they moved on from their performances in Malaysia.

Good good stuff. Much needed win for HK.

Gurbaz looks like a fun batsman. Let's see how he goes at the WC

Mixed news for Namibia. Trumpelmann looks likely to throw his lot in for the team. Frankly that is superb news in the short term as from what I have heard JJ Smit is still a fair while off bowling because of a shoddy knee

Also Castle Lager, or more specifically the light version thereof, have signed a fairly major sponsorship deal. Will be the naming rights sponsor for all Namibian home games

Also WHSOBCC won the club 50 over tournament thanks to a Zane Green ton

andruid’s post in ‘three best xi from your country’ reminded me of kenya. What happened to them? They made the semi final in 2003 WC (?) then lost their way. What is the state of cricket there now? Do they have a team at all?
