Rich has 3 fifties in 6 knocks at 3 and is averaging better there than when he was opening the batting. You score runs wherever you bat. Besides, you didn't even want to come on this tour. Rather you wanted to play Dev cricket and work on your bowling.
Regarding Toogood and Marc, Toogood has a better record batting in FC cricket and got runs in the 1st Test. Marc should just be happy he's playing at all.
EDIT: Also Rich batting at 3 has nothing to do with your demotion. Rich has batted at 3 for the last 3 Tests. The reason you're down one spot is due to Blewy moving up a spot to try to get some elusive Test runs.

^ i think you might just be temporarily out of form mate.. dont take it the hard way.. just keep working at it.. just giving you a few rests doesnt mean your out of the picture mate.
As for Cloete..
Just as liam said i think shifting you anywhere in the order you would still manage to score runs
and as for rich batting 3 he is technically an opener so we wouldnt want him to bat too low, and hes proved himself well in that position .

It's not the shifting I mind... as long as I get my number 4 spot back against a tougher opposition (If I'm deserving of it). It's the fact that I'm only moved one place down to make way for an experienced player who has little chance of being dropped (Blewy). Marc will be making his Test debut in the second Test.Cloete said:
Blewy may have played a fair few Tests and is the captain, but he has never really gotten into shape at Test level with the bat. Coming into this series he averaged 29.48 in Tests. This is an opportunity for him to improve on that.

Errm... I was just trying to create opportunities for players who don't usually have the chance to cement a place in the XI. I was not whining but merely protesting for the players and saying that I wouldn't mind whatsoever and feel they should, in fact, bat ahead of me.

Okay what I'm saying is:
If you are to move me down the order... you should mvoe me down further to let toogood and marc bat ahead of me. That's just my feelings... it shares it around a bit! But it's up to the selectors of course. Then people thoguht I was whinging and then I justified what I was saying... anyway who cares... let's just forget it unless you do want to move me down more (Which I will be happy to do so to give some other guys a chance!). Hope that clears it up!
