CB Benjamin was the one you listed as allrounder replacement, wasn't it? Go with him, then.
Yes, yes he was. That's who I was going to say was the replacement, but was awaiting agreement from the other two ;)

So, officially, CB Benjamin from the Blacks will join the party.

The Cricket Under 19 selectors have decide to appoint Colts keeper batsmen Stephen Burke as the new vice captain for the rest of the tour. Burke will take over the role from fellow Colts team mate Nick Hancock, who got called back to CWLand to take part in the Tri Series against Holland and New Zealand. Burke captained the side a tour match against Engalnd A last month.

In other news CW Black all rounder Colin Benjamin was called up to squad to replace Nick Hancock. Colin will take a place in the side to play Scotland, which was announce early today.

Well done to all the boys on great effort in the first game. All the front line bowlers contributed with Cameron taking some important wickets and i think his first at Under 19 level. Wazza and Ed both kept it tight to never really let Morgan get in any real control. Gundry was brilliant just like he has been for the back end of the season for Green. Currie has a day off, but im sure it was just a one off.

Jaso and Nick were brilliant in the chase, really showed some maturity when put under pressure. In particular Nick when wickets were falling around.

Good luck to the guys coming in for the next game and lets build on the performance against Ireland.

Scotland Under-19s v Cricket Web Under-19s
at The Grange, Edinburgh

Once again, the Cricket Web tourists won without impressing, though there were occasional flashes of brilliance at The Grange. After winning the toss, captain Thamba Mamesh opted for batting practice against good Scottish seamers, but although runs came, they were mostly off the edges, and it wasn't completely unfair when Berrington hung on to a catch to send Jasotharan back for 17. Mamesh and Pitt followed shortly afterwards, leaving the score at 60 for 3, with Ben Vaughan and Stephen Burke at the crease.

The pair took their time, never really going after the bowlers, but nurdling the singles and ensuring they did not get out in good one-day innings. Both passed fifty with leg side pushes off Farid, and the last three overs even saw a couple of boundaries, with 22 conceded off the lat 18 balls. Still, the total of 224 for 3 looked modest even on a slow Grange outfield.

It turned out to be enough - just. Scotland lost opener Hislop in the very first over, as Cameron trapped him lbw with what a local claimed was "the fastest ball delivered by that young a lad up here". Cameron persisted, also having Goudie bowled in a tight opening spell, and Scotland never really got the runs going after that, as persisting wicket-to-wicket accuracy gave away few runs and even fewer wickets. Eventually, captain Farid was run out attempting the second run off an off-side drive, and with 89 needed in 13 overs, Scotland gave up and just batted out the 50 overs, with MacLennan recording a fine unbeaten 31.

Cricket Web Under-19 224 for 3 (50 overs)
Scotland Under-19 193 for 6 (50 overs)
Cricket Web Under-19s won by 31 runs
Man of the Match: Andy Cameron

Great performance there guys, making it hard to select the side to play England now. Well done to Ben and Burkey on your 50s.

I really should have scored a bit faster though. It would have been distastrous if that had cost us the match.
