Pleased with that effort, having a good tour thus far. Especially delighted to get 3 top order wickets and a crucial one at that. Excellent effort from the boys. Hopefully we can keep it going.
I made those wickets with my Mcgrathesque economy and you know it:laugh:

2nd 50-over match: West Indies 'A' vs Cricket Web 'A'
at Toronto

An undermatched Cricket Web 'A' side won comfortably again, sealing the series after the disappointing effort in the first-class matches. Under severe pressure to keep his place, Josh Ritchie stood apart with an unbeaten 135, reviving the innings after some languid opening overs.

Batting first, the Cricket Web 'A' innings only came alive late, with Scott playing a circumspect 39 and Dauth falling to a questionable run-out decision. Once again Morris rescued things with spectacular hitting, while Ritchie bashed eighteen boundaries, most of them in the final fifteen. Kemar Roach escaped with credible figures, but largely due to the lack of will to hit.

The Caribbeans started positively, but after losing Devon Smith, things went awry quickly. Maina struck twice in one over, and the remaining bowlers kept applying the pressure, though Patrick once more went wicketless. Corrin snapped up four after Baugh and Sammy had rebuilt, but there was never any real doubt about the result, and Cricket Web 'A' completed an easy 77-run win.

Cricket Web 'A' 273 for three (50)
Ritchie 135*, Morris 44*

West Indies 'A' 196 for nine (50)
Baugh 52, Barath 45, Sammy 42*; Corrin 4/30

Cricket Web 'A' won by 77 runs
Man of the Match: J. J. Ritchie (CW 'A')

Solid tour, despite the controversy. Some good signs from the right areas. Even Corrin asking some questions now.

What do you mean, "Even"?

Great win, well batted, well bowled, can't ask for more really. Happy to not to bat at all in this series, let's keep it up :)

team has been performing awesome. Batting at 6 and hardly having to Bat so far the whole tour is good from a team perspective

3rd 50-over match: West Indies 'A' vs Cricket Web 'A'
at Toronto

Cricket Web 'A' squeaked to a whitewash in a bowler-dominated match to end the one-day series. Low strike rates were the order of the day, as 378 runs came from 99 overs, and 22 of those in extras. However, patient batting from spinning allrounders Sam Morris and Martyn Corrin ensured the victory.

After being put in, West Indies 'A' played with control, but failed to get the rate up - largely thanks to Andy Maina breaking the stubborn partnership between Devon Smith and Shawn Findlay. Runako Morton had another horror-show, making 27 off 55 deliveries, while towards the end Darren Sammy edged a couple fours. Maina this time took the wickets, while others bowled more economically, and Nath Patrick had his second of the series when Baugh dragged him on attempting his second six of the innings.

Ravi Rampaul bowled better in the role as first change, ripping out the stumps of Dauth and Young, while Luff, recalled for a resting Young, threw away a good start with a reckless shot against an innocuous delivery from Pollard. Morris, who had come in at 67 for three, now faced the task of batting out thirty overs with two recognised batsmen in the pavilion; this quickly turned to one when Dave, peace be upon him, trapped him lbw.

With 83 runs remaining, captain Corrin played excellent supporting role to Morris, and neither were seriously threatened as the Caribbeans tired. Morris was eventually given out for 66, but Corrin batted calmly, registered his first boundary in the final over, then sprang two for the victory.

West Indies 'A' 188 for six (50)
DS Smith 50, SE Findlay 46; AEK Maina 2/37

Cricket Web 'A' 190 for six (49.2)
SC Morris 66, M Corrin 35*; R Rampaul 3/29
