We could easily **** this up too, don't want to get my hopes up. Getting that first innings lead was so crucial.

The more I see these outside views the more I want to visit SL again. It was amazing first time around
Yeah beautiful country isn't it.

We've negotiated some tricky overs nicely here. Wonder what an ok total would be. Lanka can certainly bat and could knock off a total quickly

Probably stack up another 100 runs then have a go. I dont think SL gonna chase 275 ish total in last two sessions

The way Mushfiq has got behind the ball during these reverse swing overs has been really something

Bloody good hour and a half of cricket with the Lankan seamers sending down some quality reverse swing and the Deshi bats negotiating it with very straight bats.

Lanka missed a trick by not having them bowl together. The use of the spinner from the other end was a release of pressure every second over.

Ultimately they've kept us to a run rate of 3ish which has made it hard to secure a good position. Bloody interesting day of cricket coming up if the rain stays away.

I'd say with the last session the day belongs to us. Can say we are out of trouble unless something dramatic happens tomorrow morning
We're well capable of losing 7 for 40 odd is the problem but we'll see. There's definitely reasons to be positive

Both Jayasuriya and Ratnayake are way too ineffective unless it is a dustbowl. Jayasriya has lost the spin and Ratnayake is way too inconsistent for a spinner of his age. We should have played three seamers, possibly Kasun Rajitha, who can bowl long spells. At least for the next match Jayasuriya and Ratnayake should make way for Akila Dananjaya and Kasun Rajitha. Akila knows how to take big hauls, and when he smells blood, he goes for the kill unlike other Sri lankan spinners on display.

Yeah but I doubt shanto's mindset. Match against Afghanistan in t20 wc comes to my mind.
Probably the most pathetically weak decision I've ever seen a BD captain make and it looks like we've decided not to try and win again.

Except this time I would doubt the merits of trying. If we've managed to get to 3/235, it's probably impossible to take 10 wickets in two and a bit sessions. And also probably realistic for the Lankan batting to try and chase down a score at 4.5 an over.

This is infuriating to watch though.

Once we reached 220 zone lead and with 7 wickets in hand we should have gone for the kill instead of blocking 5 balls and sweeping one for single. If two wickets fell we could have reassessed. Instead these clowns decided to play more safer when already in a safe zone.Mushfiq been playing cricket for 20 plus years. Hes still so selfish.
