I voted no becasue as I understand it you are given the same team if you do not submit, so the way I understand it if you have no changes to your team there is no need to post a team. And I think this would be a disadvantage to any manager who has a poor player who is not performing, in that they would be selected when a better player could have been selected. I think there should be no penalty.

However, with non-submission of touring teams, I think the non-submitting team should forfeit the series.

I do agree with penalties for non-submission of pitch conditions.

Your team is picked randomly when you fail to submit.
I didn't know the rule had been changed I was referring to rule 4 of Tournament Rules - "If a team isn't submitted, the XI for the last Test played with that team will be used."

If rule 4 above is not the case I feel a forfeit would be the only fair ruling. It is not fair on the other managers who find the time to name ground conditions and teams, to then get beaten by a random team where the other manager hasn't bothered to name a team.

The rule had been altered, but may be changed back if there is a strong enough call from managers.

i think a ground condition that is not submitted should be a forfeit.

if u play the cricket i do and a ground is not prepared its a forfeit.

i think its unfair that a ground condition isnt submitted then i get beat without knowing the ground conditions, and its not the first time the team i had played has done this.

I think a random side selection not including players on tour (if away side) or not including the 11 used in the last game (home side) is the way to go.

I like this idea the most.
