New Season Structure

Hey guys.

Sorry to keep you all waiting for so long, I was on holiday for a week and the last few days I just haven't been motivated for EFM. With WCC gone I've decided to step into line and start work on EFM again (It was always going to happen, just a matter of when). Anyway we basically have 14 old teams with 8 new teams (Roma, Basel, Benfica, Dinamo Kiev, Rangers, Rosenborg, Monaco and Werder Bremen).

So I'm thinking about the structure of the new season and I want all of your opinions. The options are:

Proposal 1:
Divsion 1: 14 teams [At the start of the season], 3 teams relegated
Division 2: 8 teams, 3 promoted

Proposal 2:
Division 1: 11 teams (Meaning the teams who came 12th, 13th and 14th last season will start in div 2), 3 relegated (+1 play-off between 8th div 1 and 4th div 2)
Division 2: 11 teams, 3 promoted (+1 play-off between 8th div 1 and 4th div 2)

Proposal 3:
Division 1: 8 teams (9th, 10th, 11th, 12th, 13th and 14th from last season relegated), 3 relegated
Division 2: 14 teams, 3 promoted

Proposal 4:
One division comprising of 22 teams.

How about 10 in Division 1 and 12 in Division 2? And 11th, 12th, 13th and 14th are in Division 2.

8th, 9th and 10th get relegated from Division 1, 1st 2nd 3rd are promoted from Div 2. 7th in Div 1 and 4th in Div 2 have a playoff.

Lyon won't be in it.

The teams I listed are the one's we've researched and got done. I'm banking on a few people not checking in, and there's already one who certainly isn't.

So everybody *should* get a team. Let's just wait to see how things pan out though.

Just to update: Basel will be replaced by Valencia.
