I listened yesterday to the recording on TMS at tea of Brian Johnston interviewing Prince Philip, and was thinking about how both of them would have seen Bradman, and passed the word on to the next generation about how good a player he was, and also about how the previous generation would have seen the likes of Jessop, which would have been passed on to Jonners and no doubt he in turn passed that on too.

On another matter by the way, it was striking how Prince Philip was the youngster of the pair (he charmingly suggested that they were the same age, and Jonners pointed out that Philip was 10 years his junior). Still in his 60s I think Prince Philip was, and it wasn't that many years before BJ died. Incredible where the times goes.
