Just taking the other bloke's idea and using it for ODIs. Will be interesting to see how many are from JAMODIS compared to World cups

Mark Waugh:

113(122) vs England, '93 ODI series

In reply to a very large English total of 277(for the time) lead by Robin Smith cracking 167, Junior countered him superbly with a ton of his own. Came in at 1-28 and didn't depart til the score was on 263, making sure the victory was within spitting distance before leaving. And the aussies got home with 9 balls to spare.

126(135) vs India, '96 WC

Won't include his Kenya bashing earlier in the tournament. This was an important matchwinning knock, 126 out of a total of only 258, and he won the battle of the 2 premier openers of the tournament: Junior vs Sachin

110(112) vs New Zealand , '96 WC QF

KO WC Game, chasing a huge total of nearly 300. Threw it away soon after reaching 100 like he often did, but it was still enough to net him MOM over Chris Harris(Junior's 3 tons all netted him MOM in this tournament) and set up the win for the Aussies.

83(99) vs India, '99 WC

Australia had to win all 3 of their super six games to make the semi finals in the '99 WC and Junior made sure they got off to a solid start with this knock. He missed out on the 100, but no other aussie bat scored higher than 36 in this innings as Australia managed to hit 280, an above average team total for the tournament. McGrath got MOM for decimating the Indian top order but Junior did his part to ensure the aussies had a very impressive total to defend.

173(148) vs West Indies, '00/01 tri series

In what was a very successful year for Junior in ODIs(he hit 4 tons) this must have been the highlight for him, his highest ever international score(and by a decent distance). An australian record at the time, his knock helped Australia to 338 to put the icing on the cake for a terrible tour for the Windies.

Tendulkar:

90 v Australia @ Mumbai, WC 1996
98 v Pakistan @ Centurion, WC 2003
95 v Pakistan @ Lahore, 2006
175 v Australia @ Hyderabad, 2009
200* v South Africa @ Gwalior, 2010

Edit: Wait, I don't have Shahrjah 1998 twin centuries against Australia. I could remove the 3rd one but most people don't remember that one so I will keep it.

I feel like Bevan's best 4 write themselves, it's just a matter of choosing the 5th, of which there are probably several worthy candidates

78*(88) vs West Indies in the '96 summer series with the famous last ball finish. Rescued Australia from 6-38 at one stage and guided them home. The making of him.

69(110) vs West Indies again in the '96 WC SF. Came in at 4-15 and combined with Stuart Law to guide Australia to a defendable total

65(101) vs South Africa in the '99 WC SF. The situation was 4-68 this time, slightly less dire but still needed his magic to get Australia to something defendable.

102*(95) vs New Zealand in the '02 tri series. Australia slumped to 6-82, he rescued Australia much like he did way back in the '96 tri series and guided us home

No idea for the 5th.

Oh yeah don't know how I forgot about the England knock. '03 WC a bit of a blind spot for me I guess. Worthy of his other 2 WC knocks

I wanted to include one from the 2006 series in Pakistan after which Dhoni raced from nowhere to #1 ranking in what seemed like just a fortnight. But it was the entire series rather than an individual knock that stood out.

That one 40 odd he got in a random ass tri series final in west indies was great. The ultimate #takeitdeep #loldhoniwins innings.

Yup. That and the one against Australia in Australia few months prior too was similar. But in both cases he didn't score enough runs so didn't include them.
