How dare the Tshwane Spartans steal our wonderful lime green......
I actually think it is their training kit but I would use it as their playing kit. But it is definitely same kit manufacturer I reckon. The pic below confirms it.

This was the launch yesterday. Dale not caring about jet-lag

SABC comms

JP Duminy, Amir Sohail, Dominic Cork, Paul Harris, Monde Zondeki, Lance Klusener, Andre Nel, Kass Naidoo, Natalie Germanos, Mluleki Ntsabo, Udo Carelse, Ahmed Amla (in Durban), Justin Kreusch (Port Elizabeth) and Nono Phongolo (Gauteng) all commentating on the Mzansi Super League

Some more warm-up games

Durban Heat v KZN Combined XI (includes Ackerman & Dupavillon)

The fact they put Big Vern up on the scoreboard is pretty legendary.

Don't know about the pink but it is good to see The Mighty Hash again but he did desperately need this break.

Lungani Zama commenting on Dupavillon bowling in that match above. He should be in this tournament but oh well injury was a curse. He is close to being back.

Dupavillon bowling sharply in this #DurbanHeat friendly against the KZN amateur side. Someone sign him up. Unluckiest bowler in SA cricket. When fully fit, one of the brighter prospects. Gas to burn.
Wily from Dupavillon, as he restricts any room for Morkel. He can't stop Bavuma bunting one over mid-wicket for four, mind you. Decent spell, that. Four overs, one for 29, with some decent speed with the new goon.
Just stay fit, big guy.
132 for four

Anyone knows about the broadcasters details of MSL 2018?
Cricket South Africa (CSA) along with Global Sports Commerce (GSC), the Commercial Right Holder of Mzansi Super League T20 (MSL T20), has on Wednesday announced their partnership with Sony Pictures Networks India (SPN) for the first ever season of the MSL T20 in India and the sub-continent.

SPN's sports channels SONY SIX, SONY TEN 2 and SONY ESPN will telecast MSL T20 matches, including the playoff and the grand finale on December 16, 2018.

Season 1 of the MSL T20 will also be available on GSC's partner OTT Platform Cricket Gateway on app and website www.cricketgateway.com.

The sports channels of SPN, one of India's premium sports destination, holds the broadcast rights of international cricket in various countries such as Australia, South Africa, England, and the West Indies.
FreeSports UK is showing it in United Kingdom.

Cricket South Africa (CSA) on Friday clinched the Mzansi Super League broadcast rights in the United Kingdom with FreeSports, who will officially show all 32 tournament matches in the first edition.

FreeSports is a channel operated and owned by Premier Media S.à r. in the United Kingdom. The channel launched on 31 August 2017 and is dedicated to bringing free sport back to 22 million UK homes through the Freeview, Sky, Freesat, TalkTalk and BT Platforms.

CSA Chief Executive Thabang Moroe said: “We have worked incredibly hard to ensure that the Mzansi Super League is showcased in most part of the world, and are proud to announce this fantastic partnership with an equally visionary partner.

The South African Broadcasting Corporation (SABC) will be exclusively showcasing the tournament in the sub-Saharan region and the partnership with Sony Entertainment Television will provide exclusive coverage in India and the sub-continent market.”

FreeSports is already home to the Guinness PRO14 rugby matches, showing all 152 games per year across Premier Sports. The channels also broadcasts UEFA European Football Qualifiers, International Champions Cup, NHL, NASCAR, Liga Nos, Speedway and GAA.

The Mzansi Super League starts today, Friday 16 November, with the tournament final set to be played on 16 December. Some of the tournament stars include world superstars AB de Villiers, Kagiso Rabada and the English trio of captain Eoin Morgan, Jason Roy and Dawid Malan.

So Tshwane Spartans kit for the games. Think its gash.

Don't think de Bruyn is fit for tonight and internationals Eoin Morgan , Sean Williams & Sikandar Raza haven't arrived yet. Think only Lungi is with SA squad.

Check the final 3. Big units. With no Levi the biggest 3 around bar maybe VVJ? And all in the same team. Ok maybe sneak in Big Vern in 5th.

Kicking off in under an hour.

CT Blitz without Quinton de Kock , Farhaan Behardien, Andile Phehlukwayo & Dale Steyn from SA squad. Steyn should be available for Sundays game.

David Bedingham & Mthi Nabe are around until Proteas are back.

Pakistani Asif Ali in the T10 league and fellow Pakistani Mohammed Nawaz who is available for the first few games will be temporarily replaced by another Hussain Talat until he returns.

Likely team tonight :

Dawid Malan
Janneman Malan
Jason Smith
Kyle Verreynne
Sibonelo Makhanya
Ferisco Adams
George Linde
Mohammed Nawaz
Dane Piedt
Malusi Siboto
Anrich Nortje

David Bedingham

Both Rory & Andrew have got swing here. Certainly no lack of experience in the opening bowling pair for Tshwane !

All of a sudden decided to bang it in at Jason Smith !

Definitely a ploy but you got 2 slips in for the swing !

Pity no speed guns but that square drive from Janneman was tops.

PS there the speedgun is.

Verreynne playing a typical keepers innings. Only 21. Didn't get in the academy squad but that is alright. Put him in SA A squad.

Sipamla , the figures don't show the potential there to work with. I would leave out Kleinveldt or Birch when Ngidi's back.

Didn't know Nawaz could bat like this too.
